This iconic lighter is both functional and collectible and is a collaboration between Playboy and Zippo. The lighter is reusable, durable, and comes with the distinct “click” and recognizable Brushed Chrome finish. The December 1982 Holiday issue featured the cheeky Marcy Hanson, who was the October 1978 Playmate.
Fun fact: On this shoot, the art director Tom Staebler had been toying with the idea of designing a cover that would pay homage to the artist Norman Rockwell. While this idea was brewing, Marcy Hanson let it slip that Rockwell was her favorite artist. Tom commented that, “Her look was perfect for what I wanted to do.”
